Douglas,

It's scripted. I'll release everything soon on this site. I'm still working on getting the disk information and then it'll be golden.

Curious how you are querying this information. API, SNMP? We are looking to do something very similar, however without the ability to SNMPGET,

Sonia,

I actually use Tek-Tools today in our environment. It's an amazing tool to say the least. One thing I was trying to cover in this topic were products that could help automate SAN/NAS functions (such as creating luns, etc, and include auditing). I'll add this to the list though as it is a great tool for monitoring and reporting within the storage environment.

I would like to add Tek-Tools Storgae Profiler to the above list.
Storage Profiler delivers agentless heterogeneous monitoring and reporting, in both physical and virtual environments.

yes, I know the major differences between 7G and GX, however they are currently working on merging the two together and have an expected release at the end of 2008. Now if they actually hit that goal who knows. :)

As for how I like GX, I think it's much more advanced than 7G is. The functionality and additional things you can do with the software is amazing. There are a few downsides, but the positives outweigh the negatives.

Assuming you are running GX. I doubt it there will be a 7G and GX convergence anytime soon, due to the severe architectural differences. How do you like GX ?
